$270 Order Now

This year is going to be a great year for Chromebooks. At CES, everyone seemed to be announcing new Chrome computers. HP announced the first AMD Powered Chromebook and now they have the first one available for purchase.

The HP Chromebook 14 costs $270 and ships this week. Its inline with what HP already offers in the Chromebooks 14 series but now with AMD chips. You can expect the processing power to be similar to Intel’s Celeron processor. It comes with 2 USB-C (Charging, power delivery, video, data) and 2 USB-A ports. There’s a much needed microSD card slot and a headphone jack. The display is a backlit 14-inch 1366 x 768 WLED . Since this is an entry level Chromebook you get the entry level 4GB of RAM and 32GB of eMMC storage. HP says the battery life is over 9 hours.

There are different versions of the Chromebook 14 but only this AMD A4 model is on sale right now. This is the non-touch screen version but with touch is coming soon for $299.99.

If you prefer AMD over Intel this will be a good chance to see how AMD handles Chrome OS.
This is fantastic. We are finally getting options for Chromebooks.
